"Sure, I'll try to post on here every couple of days, at least!"

So, yeah. That's working out.  But I was rapidly approaching the "I faild therefore I can never navigate to dw again without feeling intensely guilty" point and there are definitely things I want to READ here, even if I don't have much to say, so. Here goes!

The most exciting thing in my life lately has been watching trees grow, and it's spring, so that's not actually a statement about how boring my life is. I have three hopefully-pre-bonsai in little pots, and the bigger mulberry in a bigger pot, and both the trees that I uprooted from the ground are showing signs of new life! Definitely checking the mulberry more than strictly necessary to see if it grew any more in the past *checks watch* five hours, but hey, sometimes it actually does!

Garden azalea (it had been chomped by rabbits down to these sticks), probably-cedar from my mother-in-law's yard, and grocery store lemon cypress. These are not, like. Actual bonsai. But I like having them.

Do people name their plants? Is that a thing?

I don't name my plants, mostly because I've only HAD plants in the past...half a year? My previous homes haven't been exactly plant-friendly spaces but now I have one wall that's basically all window so, yes. Plants. (Also, not naming plants because I usually kill them. My current ones have survived almost a year! I feel much accomplished.)

Oh, they're so cute!! I rarely name my plants (I have a large garden + houseplants so that would be an ORDEAL), but I do find it charming when people do.

I don't name my plants becasue I have a garden full of them and many in the house. But if I had only three or four that I reared lovingly? Sure I would!

Eh, I know plenty of people who mostly lurk/comment while posting very infrequently! You're in good company :)

They're so pretty and nurtured looking.

I'm terrible at growing things in containers, so it's all outdoor plants for me and mostly in actual dirt. And it seems weird to name outdoor plants.

oh I love them! Look at them go!!!

I named my plants when I only had, uh, one of them - his name is Steve Steven McSteverson IV, named after a not-very-funny joke from ages ago; now that I've got a bunch, they're just "buddy" and "baby" and "troublemaker", depending on how worried and/or annoyed I am with them haha

Ooh, that's so much fun! I personally don't name my plants, but I do talk to them and tell them they're great. But I do enjoy seeing the names other people come up with!
